The Most Epic Battles Have Been Fought Over

Women.

Seriously. Mahabharata. Ramayan.

You might think they are mere legends but I feel there’s more to a story that has stood the test of time for nearly 1000 years (or more, I don’t know the exact date). Come to think about it, why do people fight over women so quickly? Is it an ego thing or what?

  1. There are too many battles which have been fought not over women but over the ego hassles of men. Sita was the reason why the Ramayan battle was fought, but it was because Raavan felt that he was entitled to take some else’s wife away and then fight to keep her with him, and thus lose half the members of his family.
Women are part of this process not through their own choice!

  2. I guess you are right there. What made me think about this was a scene in a movie i was watching in which a guy is ready to fight a whole gang of hoodlums to protect a woman. Even in real life, we are willing to do anything to fight for the honor of a woman. Just a thought – no offense intended towards women (incase you think that I think women start fights and wars!) haha.
